Kristen Pitts Esq. is a 2006 graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She graduated from Loyola with high honors and was the recipient of Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law Academic Scholarship. In May of 2005, Kristen was also recognized as an Outstanding Female Student Leader by Loyola University College of Law.
Ms. Pitts comes to Millar & Mixon from a background in the Atlanta Public Defender’s office and prior litigation-focused legal positions in the Atlanta area. Her extensive litigation experience, outstanding work ethic and courtroom presence make her a strong advocate.
Kristen is a self-motivated, hard-working attorney who is committed to perfecting her craft. She cares about the community and about helping underprivileged children. As Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, in 2002-2003, Kristen instituted a high school mentoring program and organized a month-long breast cancer awareness program. Kristen Pitts is also the founder of Novel Learning Experiences, Inc., a non-profit organization geared toward teaching reading comprehension to underprivileged children through an exposure based book club, and a member of the Gate City Bar Association since 2008. For 2009-2010 Kristen was recognized as Mentor of the Year in the Parks Middle School Mentoring Program.
In her spare time, Kristen enjoys being a competition coach to the award-winning Parks Middle School Cheerleading Squad.
